I can’t help but think that is was ten years ago Nick and I were sharing a room at the Pa State Police Academy during one of the hottest summers on record. Nick always showed a lot of heart in the challenges he faced. He often brought a smile to everyone’s face with his sometimes odd sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. I was shocked this afternoon when I read on the Carlisle Sentinel Web site of Nick's passing. I have known Nick for many years. Nick grew up just a block away from me in Mt. Holly Springs. I knew Nick several years ago while running for a short while with Good Fellowship. I always found him to be a kind and warm person with an enormously generous spirit. Although I never met his wife and family, my heart goes out to all of them, including his many friends who cared for him so much. I remember all the times when we ran Ambulance calls together. We would sit and talk at Station until a Call would come in and Nick would be my Driver. I will miss Nick for being there and helping with running calls.

I am honored to have had Nick as a friend. I met Nick before I knew he was a fellow EMT when he was a State Trooper assigned to the Avondale Barracks. Nick as soft spoken as he was, always had a smile on his face and was filled with humor. He was able to bring a smile to your face no matter what the situation. Nick has left us all with wonderful memories and when I feel down or am having a bad day, I know I can think of Nick and his silly humor to lift my spirits.
